Halogen Desk Lamps use either tungsten halogen or quartz halogen bulbs that are extremely compact, but still produce the luminous efficiency and color temperature of larger, comparable output gas-filled bulbs. Although halogen bulbs operate at a higher temperature, they are typically much more durable and last longer than their typical incandescent or fluorescent equivalents.
